Spaghetti Bolognese
A comforting, classic pasta recipe.

Ingredients
- 400g spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, finely diced
- 500g beef mince
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 400g canned chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil and grated parmesan, to serve
Method
- Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente.
- Heat olive oil, sauté onion, garlic, and carrot for 5 minutes.
- Add beef mince and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Drain pasta, toss with sauce, and serve with basil and parmesan.
